Occupational Safety Training, Inc. (OST)

OST offers quality safety training and consulting to companies in the oil & gas, utility, healthcare, education, transportation, construction, and communications industries. We provide excellent customer service and realistic safety solutions.

With training centers strategically located in New Iberia, Louisiana and Houston, Texas we are able to offer our clients a full spectrum of safety training and consulting services. Using "hands-on" teaching techniques and flexible schedules, our qualified trainers provide clients with the skills necessary to perform tasks safely. Our facilities offer 10 available classrooms that can accommodate a total of 200 students per day. Our training centers are home to a state-of-the-art Water Survival Training Center (WSTC). The WSTC houses a Modular Egress Training Simulator (METS-5) that is used for Helicopter Underwater Egress Training, and a heated indoor swimming pool that is used for Water Survival Training. The training centers are equipped with hands on equipment that consists of a 5 ton hydraulic crane, rigging deck, confined space simulator, a propane operated fire field, and first aid / CPR equipment. OST instructors are capable of providing quality domestic and international training on offshore facilities or remote client locations.

Our consulting division manages client safety programs and provides Health Safety & Environmental representation. Our HS&E consultants are capable of conducting client audits as well as providing complete management of their Health Safety & Environmental program.

Medical & Safety Concepts (MSC)

MSC a division of Occupational Safety Training Inc. offers experienced Remote Paramedic Specialists who have extensive knowledge and training in Emergency Medical & Trauma Care. They also have the ability to assess and manage a variety of non-emergency clinical situations. All of our EMT-Paramedics and EMT-Basics are Nationally Registered and have several years of 911 street level experience in addition to oil & gas experience. Our medics are knowledgeable of OSHA and IADC rules and procedures. MSC requires its medics to complete an extensive list of safety-oriented courses prior to deployment to assure that they have a strong knowledge base since many function in dual roles as Paramedic / HSE Advisor. MSC provides ongoing educational opportunities for its medics to insure that they have the latest training and knowledge available. MSC also provides Safety Technicians, Safety Coordinators and Fire-Watch Technicians. In addition to field experience, many of our safety personnel hold degrees in Petroleum Safety Technology. This combination of real world experience and formal safety education allows our personnel to assist you in maximizing the safety performance on your projects. At MSC, our personnel are available to help manage your confined space projects, construction projects, drilling and production and turnaround activities.
